Celestron RASA 8 Dew Shield V1 / V2/ V8 / V10 3D Print File (Print Yourself)

RASA 8 dew shield is a light weight alternative to the common dew shield style setups. This design incorporates a lock in mechanism which locks into the pins of the RASA 8, similar to the RASA 8 cap.

The dew shield can also support the Celestron Dew Heater Ring.

What's unique about this style is it supports the PrimaLuce Lab Alto cover motor. This design is user friendly with the Baader FCCT system with QHY cameras. The drop in diffraction spike mask has 3 prongs that a slightly thinner than previous designs to help support cable management and create diffraction spikes on your stars. 

Changing filters with this dew shield and diffraction spile mask.... It's been made much easier to do this, the dew shield has been made thinner than previous versions to allow more room to take filters out as well as there being only three cable holder sections on the drop in mask it will still provide a 4 star spike with more room to get to your filters. 

3D Printing
Why have I made the 3D print file available for you to print so you can keep costs down due to International shipment costs. It only becomes cheaper if you have your own 3D printer. I am recieving reports that some 3D printing business are charging a lot of money for 3D prints. I would advise to get a quote from them first before purchasing the print file. I may be able to assist with 3D printing, if that's the case please contact me via the contact form.

Added Dew Shield V10 Dovetail Attachment - Integrated Diffraction Spike Mask with holes to feed cables through, USB 3.0 type B cables can be a tight squeeze. Inner ring diameter suits QHY294 camera meaning it's approx 85mm internal diameter and will sit just above the camera. The lock in mechanism has been changed and makes for inserting onto the RASA much easier however if you have a dovetail attachment and a flat field it can loosen the Dew shield due to the weight so make sure your dew shield is secure.

Added Dew Shield V10 - Also added to the file is the V10 without Dew Shield Attachment.

Update 10/12/2023

Beta: Added Dew Shield V10 support for ZWO 183, 533, 294 Camera Dimensions. This dew shield is not tested by me due to owning QHY cameras, the dimensions might need tweaking if users let me know of how well it fits. The alterations have been made to the internal ring as the QHY camera is much larger and longer there is an excessive gap when using the ZWO camera. To make it a better fit I've made alterations, again I can test this in the real world.
